The Associate of Arts in Liberal Studies is intended to meet the needs of many students. It is recommended for students whose educational goals require flexibility. This two-year degree provides students an opportunity to:

1. Design a customized program to accomplish their personal educational goals.
2. Explore interests for a future four-year degree when undecided about their major.
3. Transfer to a four-year institution. The required core curriculum for this degree fulfills the New Mexico Department on Higher Education lower-division general educational common core.

A minimum of 64 credit hours are required for this degree.

*Concurrently enrolled students can easily make progress toward or complete this associate’s.

Students will have to follow the admissions process as outlined by the Office of Admissions.

2. Pay the application fee
3. Send high school transcripts and test scores to WNMU.

There are no additional admission requirements to this program.
