We value the personal touch, even at a distance!
Student-centered customer service is our game, and we win!

About the Interdisciplinary Studies Dept.

Our student support specialists are available to serve you in-person, by phone and email. Our students regularly tell us that our personal-touch far exceeds that of other universities. Whether you are in our office or interacting with us through technology, we hope to make you feel a sense of familiarity and belonging. We pride ourselves on offering student-centered, top-rate, customer service.

The Interdisciplinary Studies department at WNMU oversees and supports three degree programs:

  1. Associate of Arts in Liberal Studies (AALS)
  2. Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies (BIS)
  3. Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies (MA)

Our degrees allow students flexibility in course selection and the ability to create a unique degree, tailored to one’s individual needs and interests. These degrees can be completed fully online depending on the availability of online courses and selected concentration areas. We also have students located at each of our locations, including Silver City, Gallup, and Deming.
