Introduction
The Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies (BIS) is an individualized program of study designed to meet a student’s particular and unique needs. The minimum requirements for this degree include the general education core units and 42 upper-division credit hours. At least 24 of the upper-division hours must be guided between two or three concentration areas.
Build Your Unique Degree Plan
For the BIS degree, students pick 2-4 disciplines, called concentrations, to study. For each concentration, you will choose a minimum of 6-9 credit hours of upper-division courses (300-400 level). Book an appointment with our Interdisciplinary Studies advisor, Shelbey Benfield, to select concentrations and begin building your unique plan of study.
